Launch CR529 OBD2 Scanner for your check engine light is a great tool to read and clear fault codes and get a good idea of the issues you are having. I've been using Launch OBD2 scanners for several years now and it's my go brand. I have two Launch BMW specific scanners and they have all worked well. The CR529 is a good solid, economical scanner that can be up-dated via the internet. Having a few older vehicles in the stable, the CR529 is a tool you don't use very often, but when that check engine light is on, it can help you can figure out issues and point in the right direction. This is a plug and play scanner, that immediately allowed me to search for diagnostic trouble codes on my vehicle. No setup was necessary, it simply worked when I plugged it in. There are other functions that allow me to monitor different data points, but I have not yet dug into that function

The cord is a great length as well so you can plug it in and sit comfortable while looking up the codes and not worrying about tugging on the cord. It is well built and also very compact at the same time. It also has a built in DTC code look up so you can look up the codes that pop up or the codes if given. Its very easy to use and user friendly. I also like the 2.8 color display which make it easy to see all the features and use the device. You can also pull up the vehicle information such as the Vin and milage. You can also check if your vehicle is im ready to pass emission test. Works with a wide range of vehicles from 1996 to newer. You also get life time free updates so you can have the latest updates to diagnose your car. It also have live data stream to check air intake, throttle position, fuel, o2 senso etc.This has alot of features and it a great portable, handheld, small obd2 scan tool.

Needed to do 2024 Corvette C8 E-ray DCT transmission flush/servicing filter change. Can confirm this is capable and able. As a matter of fact it does everything you can imagine for the car… exhaust valves, window adjustments, oil reset. It’s impressive and crazy easy to use. Save some $$$ and do it yourself. Pays for itself after first use.

No need for a super expensive diagnostic reader for your Toyota. I have a 23 RAV4 Hybrid. Hooked up this reader and it found 7 DTC's that the factory never deleted. I was easily able to clear them. This scan tool does so much more. Reading the live data stream was really impressive. It was able to read over 200 sensors on the engine and battery. Very impressive! I'm so happy I made the choice to get the Launch. If you have a Toyota vehicle, this is the scan tool to get and at an affordable price.

I’ve been looking for an upgrade from my blue driver unit, but didn’t want to spend the money on a snap on. Found this unit, it does auto identify, vin scan, full data stream monitoring, tpms sensors, and so much more! I’ve not even explored all the features yet, but so far it’s far superior to anything I’ve used so far. Will update later if I see a change in performance.

Comparing this scanner to my tool truck brand scanner it has done everything the tool truck one can plus even has some functionsthe other does not like TPS, keyfob, repair search, lighting resets, etc. Software updates are super easy to complete with scanner being hooked to wifi unlike others that have to be hooked to a PC for updates.Great price, Great functions, Great tool for both the average DIY or in a shop like im using it. No reason to spend 3-4 times as much on a big name brand/tool truck brand when this does all of the same plus more.

Excellent scan tool for diagnosing trouble codes.I needed to complete a brake job on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500.The unit was able to put the brakes in service mode in order to push the caliper pistons in further to fit new brake pads.Once new brake pads and new brake pad sensor were installed, the codes and pad life were able to be reset with the scan tool.The scan tool is very easy to use and has many features for multiple makes and model vehicles to be diagnosed.The unit’s display screen is the perfect size.It does exactly what it is supposed to do.
