I bought this scanner to just have it for emergency’s yk when buying a car but it has turned into my favorite tool very compact good battery life and to many features to count

Honestly, if you do any of your own work on your cars, the Launch CRP129X V3.0 is worth every penny. I’ve been using it around the house lately, and it’s already saved me a massive headache (and a lot of cash).
​Why I’m Sold on This Thing:
​It caught a hidden issue on my 2024 Blazer: My warranty was just about to wrap up, so I figured I’d run a quick scan. It actually found a faulty sensor that hadn’t even popped a light on the dash yet. I was able to get it fixed for free at the dealership—without this tool, I would’ve been stuck with that bill a few months from now.

I liked everything about it. If anything I could say about the product. It doesn't let you know when powering it on that you need to have a password to use the device for your hotspot location.

It took me a long time to choose an appropriate code scanner, and this LAUNCH CRP129X stood out because of its landscape mode design. Buttons on the edge of the code scanner are in line with my usage habit and the touch screen is good enough. I am impressed by its ABS & SRS systems diagnoses when I have used this for a while. I can read the diagnostic trouble code and live data stream of the ABS and SRS instead of reading the DTCs of the engine only, so when the warning lights of these two systems are illuminated, I won’t be frantic,besides, the reset functions are easy and effective, and I don’t need to spend $130 calling a tow truck as well.

I cleaned the throttle body on my 2021 Honda HR-V and I was able to do the idle relearn process in a few minutes with no problem also I found previous codes were still showing after I ran diagnostics with this tool I was also cleared the codes I would definitely recommend this tool for basic use.

The scanner works great had a old launch scanner that I had very good luck with. Very satisfied with the prompt shipping and service would buy from here again if in need of a scanner.

Best Money spent for a diagnostic Scanner. Been Trying to figure out a problem with my Jeep and Within 5 min. was able to figure out my problem. Very Easy to use.

I got this tool to find the problem with the ABS system on my 2016 Jeep.I had a Actron CP9185 but it was no help at all and it could not be updated due to them not doing updates for this unit.The Creader can be updated by WIFI for the life of the unit.So far it has found all issues with my 2016 Jeep and I would recommend it to read your OBD II computer on your vehicle.

The scanner boots fairly quick and the vehicle auto Id works well. After all the updates came thru all the reset modes popped up and they work great. It’s no snap on or factory scanner but it is a great inexpensive scan tool. The reset features took a week or so to update and show up while trying to figure them out I contacted customer support and it was a pretty good experience. Overall very happy with this scanner.

Right tool for the right jobs, it took me for long time trying to solve the problems with this scanner only 5 minutes problem solved

I was looking for a in depth scan tool, this scanner is great.It is built pretty heavy duty unlike a few other brands I've had in the past.It supports a ton of models and the touch screen works smooth and scan tool is very responsive it even updated my G6s firmware when I plugged it in plan to buy the higher end scan tool with key programming in the future

Ok haven’t used yet Hubby doing tutorials and also needed lots of updates but he is pleased with his purchase so far

Launch really did a great job with this scanner. It's very easy to use and is great for beginner mechanics to pros.

The 129X met all my expectations for the price point of the scanner. I am a diy'er and take care of 8 of the extended family cars.the 129x auto ID's newer vehicles, and the older ones (1999 Olds 88/1998 Crown Vic) I was able to manually enter the VIN and the scanner read the OEM data. One issue was the Olds data had the abs module reporting under the airbag module (relatively minor issue so far... haven't repaired the issues and tried to reset the codes).For the price point and ease of operation (auto ID, wifi updates, data logging etc), I would recommend this product

I have two code readers which often leave you quizzical as to what the real problem is that is the root cause.This one digs a lot deeper and allows you to determine what the cause is. It has allowed me to solve two problems which have plagued me for months. Well worth the money. Some of the translated English (from Chinese) cangive you a chuckle at times. It has training examples which will help you figure out the navigation.

When I purchased this item I didn’t know how good it would be but ones I received my scanner I was happy how the Launch tool was quickly updating and how user friendly it is. The touch screen works amazing and and accurately The dual speakers assist are awesome and helpfulIt was easy to setup to the wireless network and update the scanner as it walks you through the steps Reading and clearing faults worked great. On my two vehicles. I highly recommend this scanner to anyone looking for one beginner or intermediate or pro. This is a great purchase

Product was delivered fast and on time as promised. It was already fully charged and I was able to use it right away on my vehicle and found the codes for my check engine light being on and got the problem fixed right away. Easy to read screen and the option of using touch screen or buttons on the side makes it super easy to navigate through screens. Highly recommend for the price. Hooks up to wifi for easy code look up on Google to know where to start looking for the possible problems and fixes.

UPDATE: My first device started having problems after 6 months emailed Launch and they quick responded,and after a couple emails back and forth Launch notified me that they were replacing my unit.very happy with their response and quick in solving my problem.Excellent customer service in my opinion.

I used it for diagnostics on my vehicles. The accuracy is obe point and easy to understand.

I hate to say that it's a good device for the money because it's just plain good. No qualifier needed. The best thing about it is the customer service. They answer emails and have technicians ready to help you figure out your issue with your vehicle or the device. Money well spent.

Bought this after replacing a throttle position sensor on a 2007 Yukon, tried the relearn with 3 mins on 60 sec off, 3 min on, but it didnt work and still had idle at 1K in gear and 2.5 in park. Ran the relearn on this easy to use android platform and was saving gas in less than a minute. I also used it to pinpoint the timing issue on our backup vehicle I did en engine swal on last year-24 on the cam shaft got it within specs and it solved the cold start issues

This little scanner works excellent it literally paid for itself accurate and quick diagnosis if you are looking for a good diy or even for a pro garage this is it

I just purchased this scanner and have only used it once to relearn the throttle position on a Nissan it sure made the process a lot easier than what I was trying to do buy just reading the internet. Tool was very easy to use and set up. Can’t wait to get the TPS tool that goes with it to see how much faster I can relearn them when I rotate my own tires.
