After fully charging the unit, powered on and walked through account creation and setup. Updates downloaded automatically and installed correctly. The unit worked on the 2023 Porsche that I needed to diagnose and code. Large screen is bright enough to see in the garage, touchscreen response is accurate and quick. Look forward to using it on other vehicles. The other features like calculator, browser are helpful when you need to look something up you dont have to set this unit down to go to a PC or get your phone greasy. Bidirectional and wireless from the OBD port is nice so you don't have to work in the drivers seat all of the time

Great scanner so far! I��ve used it to do brakes on my vehicle with electronic parking brake. Screen is responsive. Not too large so carrying it around to different jobs will be easy. So far battery has lasted for a while without charging. I would recommend for a diy/entry mechanic

I��m not a mechanic, so I wanted something simple to use. The setup only took a few minutes, and the instructions were easy to follow. I used it to check a warning light on my SUV and found the code right away. The Bluetooth connection stayed stable during the scan, and the results loaded quickly. It seems to offer a lot of features for the price and has already helped me understand what was going on with my vehicle before taking it to a shop.

I haven't had to use this scanner too much yet, but so far it has done what I need and is a good value for the money. The Bluetooth connection is convenient, but it would be nice if the cable for the adapter was longer. As it is it has to stay on the floor or maybe in a door pocket while in use. It would be nice if it were long enough to set it on the dash while in use.

This is a great tool to have in your arsenal. It does the same thing as more expensive units. Of course each unit has its limitations but this hasn't let me down yet and being able to have a bi directional tool at this price point can't be beat.

Very comprehensive scan tool!I bought this for my Mercedes and have been able to address anything that��s come up.All the way to the small details like turning on/off the seatbelt tensioner.I can test each TMPS individually and the list goes on. I haven��t used a Mercedes dealership scan tool so I can��t compare, but as a skilled technician myself, I��m very impressed with the X431!Would recommend.

Great bi directional scanner has more functions than I need.Updates are fast over wifi it comes with a nice case that holds everything and keeps it protected when not in use.

Great tool just takes time to get familiar with all the functions the unit can perform. I have been really impressed so far & when a person or mechanic buys a new OBD2 scanner it must be bi-directional, great tool.

I purchased this unit after returning I car which stated it would turn off the eco switch even though it had an eco button on the dashboard, it did take me direct to the eco but would not write new change. I tried to contact customer service they never responded until I received the new unit a week later.The Launch unit worked flawlessly after registration was done. Used on Mer 2017 GLS 450 & 2018 Acura RDX.Easy to use, worth the extra money.

The product was worth the price, after replacing the turbocharger in my truck it had all the tools required to reset and relearn all codes. Since I work on both gasoline and diesel engines its nice having a reader that handles both. A little difficult to figure out, so no 5 star.Trey Marino

I got this for the hubby who is the go to person for car repairs in our family. He loves it. I swear he loves when there is an issue so he can hook this up to the cars and have it do its thing. Used this on my Honda Odyssey and it paid for itself. I ran a full scan, did a couple of active tests, and narrowed the problem to a sticky valve/actuator instead of guessing parts. This is a fine piece of kit. It seems sturdy and it functions fine. However, it is over marketed and promises everything to everybody and when it falls short, they simply ask for you to stand by for updates. This did not satisfy my immediate needs for Ford 6.7 diesel engine and fuel system diagnostics so, I am returning. Set up went fine but there is a very aggravating aspect that was revealed. I noticed as I searched for my specific functions that they want you to purchase additional access to service functions for some models.
