I have been using OEM specific diag tools for some time. I encountered an issue on a 2014 Porsche and my standby tool, while reporting the right codes, did not give me the granularity. Nor did it provide the functionality to recalibrate the steering angle sensor. The Lanuch x431 CRP919X-BT gave me both. Having the tool on my bench was a huge plus as opposed to being tethered to the car. The interface was simple and easy to use.

The Launch X431 does what is advertised. I have a 2021 Ram 2500 6.7 Cummins that I needed to do a force regen. The X431 did that versus the OBD2 scanner I bought before (different brand) would not because software was coded to a 2021. The AutoAuth feature works excellent and the scanner is very in depth and and seems to have a good battery life, the size is nice and the Bluetooth function makes life so so much easier, being able to actually program and clear codes especially in newer Chrysler vehicles is definitely a big bonus, plus the added benefit of the amount of optional add on tools you can get that function with this scanner is crazy, I'd very much recommend this tool to anyone in need of a high end scanner for a good price!

First Scanner I've owned delivery was fast. My daughter's 2018 Chevy Malibu had a check egine light on diagnosed the light was variable valve timming soleniod. scanner told code and name of part even took me to youtube link on how to repair it. I feel this scanner is very easy to operate and was able to clear code and everything works like it is supposed to now Great Scanner for the price has many features to help diagnose many other issues that might arise at a later time completly satisfied with my purchase.

This great scan tool is definitely a big step up from the basic scan tools that allow you to read engine DTCs. It has access to a ton of vehicle specific settings and other advanced features.Set up was easy. A quick start guide is included that walked me through connecting to Wi-Fi, updating the software to the current version, and then using the scanner on my vehicle. While devices like this aren't always known for being user-friendly, this one certainly is.I also like that the scanner is entirely wireless. There's a dongle that plugs into the OBD2 port under the dash, and then that dongle wirelessly connects to this scanner. This allows me to walk all the way around the vehicle and to access the scanner from places other than the driver's seat.Lastly come at the scanner comes with a nice plastic case that holds not only the scanner but also the associated cables and manual. This really is a nice package!

For a professional automotive technician this scanner does exactly what i need. Before i bought it, my friends suggested checking out brands. But man, I'm glad i went with this launch instead. It works flawlessly from the first use. Tried it on a 2002 Ford F-350, a 2019 BMW 5 Series, a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 and a few other vehicles. Read VIN automatically and pretty quick, without me having to search through menus.Using the bi-directional control, i could send commands directly to the car's systems to pinpointthe bad spark plug. It speeds up troubleshooting big time. It also has like 30+ service resets build-in. I haven't messed with the coding yet, but overall, it is super reliable and covers everything i need. For the price? Total bang for your buck.

Anyone that owns a Gen 2 Frontier knows that you need to perform a SAS anytime you lift your truck or replace that pesky clock spring. This bad boy makes short work of that unlike cheaper options and looks to be capable of so much more.

Scanner is easy to use, has lots of functionality that comes in really handy for diy repairs. It saves you a lot of money and headache of having to take your car to the dealer. Basically pays for itself the first time you have to use it! Way better than the smaller Bluetooth dtc readers

I’m a Ford Master certified technician. So I have used Ford IDS/scan equipment. This is probably one of the first after market scanners I have used that offers so much ability and features and work on almost all vehicles. No after market scanner does everything factory equipment does but I’m impressed with this little scanner.

Bought it a week ago and loved it the second it arrived. Scans all the systems and has brand specific special functions. Almost factory level scan system for vw/Audi cars with guided functions etc. Also comes with a nice case
